Job Description

Heritage is current searching for a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of related experience and be responsible for managing the revenue cycle process from start to finish, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the revenue cycle process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team. Individuals in these positions must be able to work Monday - Friday (40 hours each week).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Submit electronic and manual claims adhering to strict deadlines
  • Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance.
  • Identify and resolve billing issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with payers
  • Work with other departments to ensure accurate billing information is provided
  • Post and work claim denials
  • Post Insurance payment
  • Other duties as assigned, required, or specifically negotiated with supervisor

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of previous experience in medical billing, coding, and/or collection. Must have knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding.

Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
