Job Description

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good human relations and communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible to meet the needs and interests of children but also adhere to expectations of the program
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience working with children 5-12 years of age (preferred)

  • This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; however, interviews may be conducted after April 3, 2024, so interested applicants should submit their materials ASAP to ensure consideration.
Important Notes
  • This position is for the District's Kids Plus Summer Program, which will be located at Garden Hills Academy.
  • Summer Camp runs Monday through Thursday from June 10, 2024 through July 11, 2024. Exception: There will be no school on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 and Thursday, July 4, 2024.
  • Student Contact Hours will be from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Staff will be expected to be on duty (and will be paid) from 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • Initial required training (paid) will be June 4, 2024 and June 5, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m at the Champaign Public Library.
  • Recreation Leaders will be paid at the rate of $17.00/hour.
