The hourly range for this role is between $17.00 to $20.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries Hourly Rates are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Description & Scope

Rabbit Hole Distillery is a state-of-the-art facility, nestled in Nulu, Louisville's hub of art, food, and culture, and invites you to come and witness our full whiskey-making process, craft cocktail bar, and curated retail offerings.

This will be an opportunity to join Kentucky's thriving Bourbon industry! This position reports to the Brand Experience Manager and is responsible for maintaining daily operations at the Overlook Bar.

All Brand Home team members are responsible for providing a memorable and educational experience for distillery guests.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Show that you are an energetic, outgoing, fun person while maintaining professionalism.
  • During service, be responsible for cleaning glassware, clearing glassware from tabletops, bussing tables, cleaning surfaces and the bar top, and restocking everything in the bar. Maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Setting and staging the tastings for the distillery tours and bourbon experiences. This includes special events at The Overlook Bar. Providing an optimal customer service experience for guests.
  • Assist Bartender in service (i.e. touching tables, delivering drinks, taking orders) when needed.
  • Possess and masterfully convey a full understanding of Rabbit Hole Distillery's bourbon products and bourbon-making process.
  • Assist visitors in their selection of merchandise and be an influential factor in their choice of bourbon.
  • Communicating with Retail Associates and throttling bar traffic/tour guest adjustments.

Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to connect with a wide range of personalities
  • Knowledge of safety protocols
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., outlook, teams, excel)
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale software (e.g., Toast)
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits; wine and beer preferred
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, bachelors in relevant field (e.g., hospitality business, communications, marketing) preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Knowledge of American Whiskey category preferred
