Description:

Under direction of the Executive Director of Campus Housing, the Housing Administrator (Senior Housing Administrator) assists in the management and supervision of campus housing and assists with execution and coordination of related housing programs. In-depth knowledge of the university's housing organization, programs, policies, and procedures is essential to the performance of duties. Employee functions with sufficient independence and authority to influence the quality of student life experiences and parental perceptions of university management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, control, manage, direct and coordinate administrative and operational areas of the central housing office including serving as receptionist, welcoming students and visitors, take and relay accurate messages and dispense appropriate information, manage the calendars of the Housing Leadership team, including assisting in coordinating appointments for various meetings.
  • Responsible for overseeing the T-Card Program, including managing student travel, department purchasing, purchase orders, and reconciling departmental purchases.
  • Supervise and/or coordinate events and activities designated by the Housing Leadership Team.
  • Attend weekly Housing Leadership meeting, compile, and disseminate meeting minutes.
  • Oversee departmental orders and assist in maintaining inventory of Housing furnishings, equipment, and supplies.
  • Lead and Train clerical staff, and other Housing employees and assist in the development and implementation of their training.
  • Manage the billing and process for Faculty/ Staff apartments, departmental keys, follow-up and support with billing and other departmental payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete comprehensive departmental reports using Star Rez, Banner, Maxient, Kronos and other institutional software for statistical analysis.
  • Recruit, interview, and select employees; develop training programs for housing employees. Assist in onboarding process for employees to Campus Housing.
  • Supervise budget preparation and monitor the execution of budgets in conjunction with the Business Manager.
  • Manage department network IDs.
  • Prepare daily reports as needed.
  • Participate in campus committees.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications Required:


    1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

    2. Any combination totaling six years from the following categories:

    A. Housing, residential life, hospitality, business, or closely related work experiences.

    B. College course work in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Hospitality Sciences, Business Sciences, Social or Behavioral Sciences, and/or related disciplines, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
    • 30 semester hours equals six (6) months
    • 60 semester hours or Associate's Degree equals one (1) year
    • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years
    • 120 semester hours or Bachelor's Degree equals three (3) years
    • Master's Degree or higher equals four (4) years
